Last Sunday, March 27, just one year after the previous assembly that marked a significant change in the course and foundations of the Colors Sitges Link association, the assembly of partners took place in the SIS room (the Rusc) that Sitges Town Hall did yield for the event.

With an attendance of almost 40 people, president Pedro Martín took a tour of what had been and meant this year, the second year of the pandemic. Although it is true that the LGTBIQ+ community is resilient, the effects of the pandemic continue to appear, now that it seems to be beginning to subside. These effects have affected us to a greater or lesser extent, everyone. Also to the association.

It has been a special year, very active, with great new projects that have given visibility to the collective in general, to CSL in particular, and that has meant a great effort on the part of all those who began this new stage in 2021. It has also been a year of ups and downs. We are volunteers in an association in constant growth, the demand for personal sacrifices and involvement is no longer the same with more than 400 active members (the third LGTBIQ+ association with more members in the Spanish state) and with projects each time More demanding.

After the introduction, the summary of the report and the annual economic balance for 2021 were presented. Martín Martín also went through the objectives that were proposed last year, explaining where they were, as well as the renewal of the commitment to continue working in them and in attainable goals.

The CSL president mentioned and thanked the members of the Committee who had resigned from their duties throughout 2021, as well as a large list of volunteers who had collaborated in the growth of our association. Afterwards, the budget for 2022 was explained and the new situation was emphasized, as well as the need to match other associations with the hiring of staff (in this case, an administrative assistant and an activities coordinator, hired through a SOC grant) to support the Committee and respond to new demands.

Immediately afterwards, the new members proposed to fill the vacancies on the committee introduced themselves. Both the approval of the 2022 budget and the ratification of the new board were approved unanimously with 98 votes.

Especially moving were the moments in which Brandon Jones took the floor to highlight that the XIV assembly was one of the best in which he had participated and the great work that had been done, as well as his joy at seeing how the number of companions It had grown so noticeably. Isidre Roset also applauded this growth. The last to participate was Paola Cavasin, a member for several years, who thanked her colleagues for their generosity in opening the doors of the association to the rest of the LBTIQ+ collective, positively assessing how the CSL name change had been essential for the increase in members.

The new vice-presidency and coordinator of activities, Prado García, introduced Anna de Nicolás, old member of the committee and, now, current administrative assistant. Her words, full of commitment and enthusiasm, was another moment to remember.

Lasting two hours, the assembly ended at 2:00 p.m., the ideal time to give way to the cava bubbles.

Meet the new committee, who are the new additions and changes.
