We have already told you about the project “No more closets“, which we started in September 2023 to work with the elderly people of our LGTBIQ+ community in Sitges, sponsored by Fundación La Caixa.
Two months ago, Miriam Erazo, our new social worker, joined to lead this project, which is progressing at full speed. We are about to launch a series of new activities and workshops, such as workshops on sexual self-esteem, emotional health through Chi Kung and grief, and use of technology (so that neither the mobile phone nor the computer will resist you!). In addition, we continue with the walks and breakfasts, and soon we will introduce the senior afternoon sessions.
In addition to the activities at the headquarters, Miriam is following up with several people in our community with reduced mobility who need support in their homes. To support her in this work, José García will join in August along with several volunteers.
If you want to participate in this project and help Miriam by accompanying elderly people with difficulties, write us an email at gentgran@colorssitgeslink.org and tell us how you can help.
At Colors Sitges Link we continue working for our community to build a better future.
