Our carpet this year pays homage to the artist Keith Haring (1958-1990) and celebrates the  fact that people living with HIV who take medication cannot pass on the HIV virus.

Keith Haring was diagnosed with AIDS in 1988 and died from the disease in 1990, this was  before there was effective treatment for HIV. He was an HIV activist using his art to raise  awareness of the disease and breakdown the stigma of HIV.

Today there is effective treatment for people living with HIV and when on treatment they do not have sufficient virus in their bodies to be able to pass on HIV. This is known as  Undetectable equals Untrabnsmittable or U=U.

You will find our carpet at the Passeig de la Ribera, núm 27, sunday 23rd June.
