Next weekend we are organizing the Sant Jordi (April 23) and Lesbian Visibility Day (April 26) events, which have been combined in the same event on Saturday, April 24th, independently of our usual book stall on the Passeig de la Ribera, together with other organisations in the town.

We ask for just an hour or two of your time

In order to carry out these events effectively and respecting and enforcing the security measures in accordance with COVID regulations, your collaboration is needed at different times to carry out different tasks. That is why we ask you to lend us a hand yo make the event effective and safe. It is not necessary to be there for the whole event. The idea is to cary out one of these functions for an hour or two and then another volunteer will cover your position so that no one has the responsibility of having to be there from start to finish. That’s all we ask for you: an hour or two. Below you will find a form so that you can volunteer and put your availability, both in number of hours and in time slot.

What will the Sant Jordi’s Day and Lesbian Visibility events consist of?

On Friday 23rd, in Passeig de la Rivera, we will have our second-hand book sale stop, for which the collection campaign “Forgotten books are adopted” is already underway.

On Saturday 24, in the Jardines del Retiro, the event “Vermouth Rosa Literario y Electrónico” will take place, where there will be round tables of literary debate, signings and sale of books by the participating authors, and dramatised readings by members and friends of Colors Sitges Link, of texts by Cervantes, Shakespeare and Josep Pla, coinciding with the anniversary of the death of the three authors. As a final climax, our friend and collaborator of the communication team, DJ Pilar Cordero, will delight us with a music session enlivened by the terrace service of the guys from El Cable.

It will be fun and, most importantly, it is for our cause, everyone’s cause

The importance of the success and smooth running of these events is fundamental for the development of the activities, projects and services that Colors Sitges Link carries out throughout the year. It is the time in when we become more visible in our geographical context, we make ourselves better known to the general public and, most importantly, the donations and income generated in these events represent a very important part of our annual budget, with which we can develop the activities, projects and services that Colors Sitges Link carries out for our LGBTIQ + community. That’s why we ask for your collaboration in these events.

Don’t hesitate and fill in the form. It will be fun and, most importantly, it is for our cause, everyone’s cause.
