PEDRES

DONES GRANS SENSE ARMARIS

menyspreu d’ignorants, errats i necis.
Necis impulsos de violència cega,
cega injustícia que amaga i nega.
sexe oblic,
oblic i plaent.
Plaent i madur,
madur que no auster.
No auster i sense pedres,
pedres dolgudes i diverses.
Diverses dones fortes i converses,
converses i lliures.

Stones chiseled by doubts, dread and fear

MJ Garrido, in this work, shows us the stony strength of our older women, for the life they have suffered being stigmatized. Stones chiseled by doubts, dread and fear. Fear that our women have suffered for years for having a sexual orientation that has not been and is not yet accepted or respected by many. Courage for wanting to live their lives free and without obstacles that prevent their fullness and freedom.

Older women are the absolute protagonists in this work, thus achieving the visibility they deserve for having experienced what has happened to them, in past times when everything was even more difficult, even worse depending on their social class, their cultural reality or their family situation. Those stones that pave our own path on which we walk towards a better future for our collective.
