From Colors Sitges Link we value this first edition very positively for many reasons. We have achieved one of the main goals of the festival: to give visibility and voice to dissident and alternative artists who move outside the mainstream, either by ideology or by their artistic expression.

Another goal achieved: to make the Colors Sitges Link association known in the town, through our strongest commitment, culture. Hundreds of people have come to the multiple events and made us share in their joy for there to be cultural festivals of this kind. Many people have even come from outside the region to enjoy the festival and Sitges.
The feminist perspective of the festival was important for the organizing team: we achieved parity between the artists, but we also had a very high presence of female audiences. And we have created complicities with Sitges and its cultural entities, as well as involving the public.

We thank all the volunteers who have made this festival possible who for five days were giving it their all.

And to all the visual artists who have shown their art at the Queer Art fair, which had a great influx throughout the weekend.

Special mention to the artists Manu Corrals and José Roldán for creating the fantastic image of the festival, to all the members of the Culture group of the Colors Sitges Link association, to Manuel Riccardi for the photography and to 8 Direction Pro for the magnificent video work which they have done.

And we cannot forget the real protagonists, the artists who have made us vibrate with their performances.

Recognized personalities

In this first edition of the festival, several popular and media personalities have collaborated, such as the author of the comics Machistadas and Sextories, Rocío Vidal, the television Pablo Wessling, author of Tres chicos buenos, the journalist and writer Sandra Bravo author of All that I don’t know how to explain to my mother: (Poli) love, sex and feminism or the singer-songwriter Lydia Ruiz. In addition, we are supported by well-loved and recognized personalities in Sitges, such as Jordi Milán, actor and director of La Cubana, and Nacho Ruiz, director of the Drag Queen gala in Sitges.

Great support from local and county promoters and sponsors

Although El Retiro has become the main venue for the festival, they have also hosted the 1st edition of the Colors Sitges Queer Fest: the Queenz Cabaret Restaurant, the Santiago Rusiñol Library, the Cocktail Bar Queenz, the Art i Cafè gallery and the Sitges Hotel Royal Rooms.

In addition, there have been many entities and companies that have collaborated to make this edition possible.
