Adelaida Guasch is a poet, coach, and now a novel author.
EstrellaDa Vida (Azur Grupo Editorial) is her first novel, following the poetry collection Locuras intensivas (Uno editorial).
During the first year of the Sitges Queer Fest, Adelaida Guasch participated in the poetic gathering “Aquelarre poético” we organized, alongside other queer voices. This time, she comes as an author at the emblematic Palau del Rei Moro (behind the Mercat Vell), to present, as a preview, “EstrellaDa Vida” (Azur Grupo Editorial).
EstrellaDa Vida is a story based on true events: heart-wrenching and intense, yet, above all, hopeful. A journey from the depths of hell that will push its protagonist to the limit. Adelaida Guasch dares to speak openly about silenced and stigmatized issues such as mental health, child abuse and assault, suicide, homosexuality, discrimination, and double standards. This story conveys the need to go beyond the world as we perceive it. The testimony of “Marina” urges us to question both our own and others’ beliefs, inviting us to delve into the depths of our abysses to explore the pain until we reach the wound. It reveals that even if we’re not naturally brave, we can all learn to be courageous.
Event in catalan and spanish. Spaces are limited, please book in advance.
Organized by Aquelarre Cultural associació de dones creadores, in collaboration with Colors Sitges Link, as part of the Sitges Queer Fest.
