Within the framework of Sitges Pride, Colors Sitges Link is hosting the presentation of the anthology of love stories… and much more, “We’ll Get Married in Las Vegas and Other Stories” (Ediciones Atlantis, 2024) by author Lluís Rodríguez i Lago.

We’ll Get Married in Las Vegas and Other Stories consists of four stories that share a common thread: experiences and situations involving gay men and the challenges faced by members of the LGBTI community in today’s society. Four tarot cards will introduce us to these stories through analogies and symbolism, inviting us to reflect on human relationships, respect, freedom, true love, toxic relationships, abuse, and violence.

His stories wander between reality and fiction, drawing from personal experiences and those of his acquaintances. Through them, he aims to put on the table current social issues and discuss how people establish and weave their relationships with others.

The protagonists, far from being heroes, can elicit feelings of empathy and understanding for their sensitivity, but also for their lack of experience and awkwardness in managing their emotions. We’ll Get Married in Las Vegas talks about what could have been and about everyday life.

Lluís Rodríguez i Lago studied Teaching and Psychopedagogy and holds a postgraduate degree in Journalism. He is currently a public school teacher and hosts and directs, along with Manel Ferrer, the podcast Col·lectius en Xarxa (Best Audio Content 2021). He is also the author of the novel As It Happened (2020).

Author Pablo Wessling (Three Good Boys, Roca Editorial, 2021) will host the colloquium with Lluís Rodríguez. Both authors will sign copies for the attending audience
