Christina Falcinella will premiere the concert KHAIREMERI Project, Queer intersections accompanied by Toni Sánchez on bass and piano.

A personal journey between transgender songs (musical?) and women’s poetry, to give the singing voice to the otherness, reluctant to orthodox classifications of the vision of the world in feminine, to sing the feeling of a literary and musical discourse, that extends in time in a hagiographic flow without chronological rigor or exhaustive pretense.

From Safo to Björk and Tori Amos, passing through Maria Mercè Marçal and Billie Holiday, to mention some proper name of this performance that wants to give space to the art of the difference of the hegemonic canon, exclusive and homologated, to enter the area where identity converge , sexuality and culture. And even further, in the search for my ontological “queerness“, that humiliated and outcast otherness that now authorizes itself to become proud of itself in public.

I sing to discover who I am and I want to invite you to join that journey.
