In the committee of our association, not everything we do is about saving the world. We also reserve time to plan actions with fun in mind, special events that bring our community together. Let’s take a look behind the scenes and discover how we work to make each occasion memorable and successful.

Recently, we embarked on the novel task of organizing the first Sitges Tea Dance. This initiative not only required coordination and logistics, but also a good dose of creativity and enthusiasm. From the beginning, we immersed ourselves in the task with passion and a desire to make the Tea Dance a unique event. But even what seems simplest takes time if it’s to be done right, and every detail mattered.

One of the first steps was to make sure the music was up to the event. We gathered our head DJ, Alberto, and visited Pachito to test his sound equipment. To our surprise, we faced a technical problem that threatened to ruin our plans. However, thanks to quick intervention and collaboration of the team, we managed to solve the problem and ensure an impeccable auditory experience.

During a morning of Good Friday, taking advantage of having a holiday from our paid jobs, we gathered again to select the playlist that would be the highlight of the party. With the help of the contributions you made through the Spotify link we shared, we got down to work to choose the ideal songs for each moment of the afternoon party. It was a fun and rewarding experience, which showed that even planning hours can turn into moments of joy and camaraderie.

It’s important to highlight that all this work, from event planning to music selection, through designing promotional images and publishing them on the website, in CSL’s WhatsApp groups and on our social networks, counts as volunteer work hours for both collaborators like Javi and Alberto as well as for the Board of Directors. Each team member contributes their time and energy to make our projects, however simple they may seem, a success. We are grateful for the constant support of our community. Successful afternoons like the celebration of the first Sitges Tea Dance make us think it’s worth the effort.

So, now you know: in the committee we not only dedicate ourselves to saving the world, but also to getting things wild with festive proposals.

We are committed to continue working together to organize events that unite and inspire us, demonstrating that teamwork can be as rewarding as it is fun.
