Within the framework of the celebration of 17M, International Day Against LGTBIphobia, Colors Sitges Link showcases the creations of the artists from our LGTBIQ+ community.

For this reason, on this occasion, we will be at the Santiago Rusiñol Library, supporting the author from Vilanova i La Geltrí, Manu Fandos, who presents his first published book, G (Ginsbergian Reveries).

He is accompanied at the presentation by journalist Aitziber Azpeitia.

Manu Fandos (Barcelona, 1977) has a degree in Psychology. His passion for literature began in high school when he discovered the work of Walt Whitman. He later discovered Patti Smith and, through her, Allen Ginsberg and the Beat Generation. Influenced by the works of Bécquer, Lorca, Poe, Rimbaud, Shelley…

Poetry allows him to express everything he carries within and helps him discover who he is. Although the author writes from an LGTBI perspective, he believes that literature is universal and can reach everyone.

Since 2015, he has been publishing articles on his blog Days of Cinema, Music, and Poetry about his great passions: music, classic cinema, and, of course, literature. In 2023, he published on Wattpad a compilation of his early poems: Origins.

As for Aitziber Azpeitia (San Sebastián, 1971). A journalist committed to quality information, she has a long and varied career with La Vanguardia. She has also collaborated with various publishers, including Planeta and Random House. Addicted to culture and current affairs, she is a passionate reader and a devout moviegoer. She has directed several short films and dedicated her thesis to the female figure in John Ford’s filmography. She loves good bookstores and libraries, where she feels like the protagonist of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” Glamour and imagination come naturally to her.
