Donation campaign organised by Hotel Royal Rooms Sitges
From the direction of the Hotel Royal Rooms (Francesc Gumà 16 – Sitges), a collection of clothes, non-perishable food and basic necessities (hygiene, baby products,) is being organised to send to Lebanon, where they will be distributed by EQUAL NGO, among the families affected by the explosion of the city’s port, which occurred on August 4, 2020.
Monetary donations are accepted
At the same time, a crowdfunding campaign is being carried out through the online platform GoFundMe. Donations of material can be sent to the Hotel Royal Rooms or by e-mail to elias.bechara@gmail.com and they will be in charge of collecting the donations.
The campaign ends at the beginning of March
The intention of the hotel management is to send a container with the donations during the first week of March, expandable, perhaps, to the second depending on the volume collected until the first date.
300,000 people homeless
Let us remember that the damage and devastation caused by the explosion spread for several kilometers, affecting a third of the city and leaving over than 300,000 people homeless. So the emergency and the need is real and urgent.
